Tips for Choosing Gaming Recliners for Tall People

I value my comfort immensely. Whether I'm doing work, driving, or playing my video games, I like to feel comfortable and relaxed. As much as I can, I try to avoid any back pain or sore muscle that is why I pay extra care in choosing products that offer as much comfort. This is also true when it comes to gaming recliners.

Because of my height, it was a bit of a challenge looking for the best recliners for tall people. It needs to accommodate my frame and provide comfort despite hours of sitting in one attitude. Through my research, I've set up certain tips any tall gamer can follow when looking for gaming chairs.

  1. Strong support is tantamount

You cannot sacrifice functionality over looks. If you do, you are going to suffer for it. I followed this philosophy when I chose my first gaming chair. I really looked hard into the support a chair offers, which includes looking at the frame material as well as the firmness of the cushions.

  1. Opt for larger chairs

Most gaming recliners in the market fall between a small and a medium size with very little options for larger dimensions. Because of this, tall gamers such as myself have very limited options look-wise. But I have come to realize that I would rather have a comfortable chair to sit on for hours rather than a gorgeous one but bad for my posture.

  1. Upholstery material is everything

Choose recliners that boast supple materials that are resilient and easy to clean. This will make a world of difference when you spend hours on end just sitting on it.

Gaming Recliners for Tall People

Most of the people around me enjoy spending time playing video games in their free time. I've met them online and in real life and I've considered them my close friends. What comes up in many of our conversations, besides the current video game we are obsessing about, are the multitude of gaming accessories that seems to saturate the market these days. There are many of these products, from headsets to colored keyboards. But our favorite one is the merits of gaming chairs and how they affect the gaming experience.

I grew up just sitting on my couch while I play something on my Xbox, or sit at my comfortable office chair when I'm playing PC games. Imagine my surprise when I realized every single one of my friends had a special gaming recliner they use specially made for marathon gaming. When I finally caved in and bought myself one, I learned there's more to it than just choosing the best looking one.

Being someone towering at 6 feet 4 inches, I'm considered to be a tall person and with it bring a few hurdles when choosing a gaming chair. Since a gaming recliner is, first and foremost, made to offer support, I had to get one that can accommodate my size while still being comfortable. It took a lot of trial and error but when I finally found one of the best recliners for tall people, it really changed how I play video games. The back pain and shoulder soreness vanished and I was able to concentrate on just the fun aspect of my video games.

Quotes

"I was walking along and this chair came flying past me, and another, and another, and I thought, man, is this gonna be a good night."
Liam Gallagher

"What a circus act we women perform every day of our lives. Look at us. We run a tightrope daily, balancing a pile of books on the head. Baby-carriage, parasol, kitchen chair, still under control. Steady now! This is not the life of simplicity but the life of multiplicity that the wise men warn us of."
Anne Morrow Lindbergh

"Giving birth was the most amazing thing I've ever done. I'd been living in a Third World country, and I said, 'I'm going to just squat behind a tree.' I basically did that but in a chair in my living room. I didn't want a sterile hospital room. I didn't want doctors. I had a midwife."
Carolyn Murphy

"The door might not be opened to a woman again for a long, long time, and I had a kind of duty to other women to walk in and sit down on the chair that was offered, and so establish the right of others long hence and far distant in geography to sit in the high seats."
Frances Perkins
